HBM has grown from the vision of a sole practitioner into a full-service Chartered Professional Accounting firm serving corporate and personal clients. Today, our team supports clients with accounting, tax, bookkeeping, GST/HST, financial statement preparation, and business advisory services.
Based in Cochrane, HBM works with clients throughout the surrounding region, including Calgary and area. Our clients include corporations, owner-managed businesses, individuals, and families who value practical advice, accurate work, and dependable professional support.

Meet HBM
Leadership Team
HBM is led by experienced partners who bring technical knowledge, sound judgement, and a practical understanding of the clients we serve. Our leadership team remains involved in the firm’s day-to-day service and plays an active role in supporting clients across accounting and tax matters.
Wes graduated from the University of Lethbridge in 1995 with a Bachelor of Management degree and in 1999 received his Chartered Accountant designation. Wes provides a variety of accounting, income tax and business advisory services to owner-managed clients, the agricultural industry and not-for-profit organizations.
Outside of the office, Wes enjoys dirt biking at the motocross track and in the mountains, cruising in his corvette and vacationing in the sun.
Brigitte graduated in 2001 from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Commerce degree (Honors) and received her Chartered Accountant designation in 2004. Brigitte focuses on small and medium sized owner managed businesses and works closely with them as their primary business advisor. Brigitte provides accounting and taxation services in the private industry sector.
In her spare time, Brigitte enjoys cooking, baking, travelling and spending time with her family.
Ryan graduated from the University of Alberta in 2012 with a Bachelor of Commerce degree (with distinction) and received his Chartered Accountant designation in 2015. Ryan’s practice focuses on small and medium owner-managed business clients, providing them with accounting and tax advice for all their personal and corporate matters. Prior to joining HBM, Ryan had a wide range of experience working with an international accounting firm providing tax, accounting, and assurance services. He also spent over a year working abroad in Brisbane, Australia as an auditor with an international accounting firm.
In his spare time Ryan enjoys outdoor activities such as camping, downhill skiing, hiking, and biking with his wife and 3 young children.
Landon graduated from the University of Lethbridge in 2012 with a Bachelor of Management degree and earned his Chartered Accountant designation in 2015. His practice focuses on providing accounting and tax advisory services to small and medium-sized owner-managed businesses, with a strong emphasis on the integration of corporate and personal tax planning. Before joining HBM, Landon gained valuable experience at an international accounting firm, where he provided clients with a range of tax, accounting, and assurance services.
Outside of work, Landon enjoys staying active and spending quality time with his wife and daughters.
